Three tips for great photos at a private party

Plan a moment of good light: a toast outdoors at the end of the day, candles on every table, string lights above the dance floor. Light is half the atmosphere in a photograph.

Ask someone who knows everyone to help me. They will point out the people who matter and gather the family for a group photo in two minutes, not twenty.

Let the party live. The best images come when nobody is paying attention to the photographer anymore. My job is to make you forget me.

Corporate portraits and brand imagery

A good business portrait should not look like a passport photo. I photograph executives and teams on location, with a consistent look across your website and social profiles.

Product and food photography

Clean packshots for e-commerce, lifestyle scenes for social media, dishes for restaurants, caterers and chefs: a product should make people want it before they touch or taste it. I shape the light, textures and reflections so the image sells.

White background or lifestyle?

A white background is essential for e-commerce: it keeps the product centre stage and meets marketplace requirements. Lifestyle images tell a story instead, a cream on a linen towel, a bottle in the morning light, a dish on a dressed table. Most brands need both, and both series can be shot in the same session for a consistent look across your website and social media.

Brand films and event teasers

A 30-second to 2-minute film tells the story of an event better than a long report. I also make brand films to showcase a product, a place or a craft, delivered in landscape for your website and vertical for social media.

A blurry or badly lit image costs more than a photographer, because it weakens your brand. Under French law, the photographer remains the author of the images. The uses granted to you (website, social media, print, advertising) are set out clearly in the quote, with no surprises later.
